Welcome 2012!
We hope everyone is settling back in from a busy holiday season and tackling January 2012 with all you got!
The first few weeks of the new year have been busy ones for us. We’ve already hit up Surf Expo, an action sports tradeshow in Orlando that is near in dear to our heart– they are both a client of ours and the hub of all things action sports for a lot of our customers! We have kicked off many new projects on a local level that we are can’t wait to share with you. A few ecommerce projects are underway, a favorite local hangout is getting a website facelift, and we have been fortunate enough to receive several real estate and developer clients this month- an excellent indicator for our local economy. Stay tuned for more details!
We feel so fortunate to be starting off the year with such a bang, and are anxious to see what the year will bring. Our resolution is to continue to stay ahead of the trend in terms of cutting edge marketing and design technologies, and bring you the best products and service possible. Here’s to a great 2012!
Sage Supports Local Events!
We just love working with the local organizations and lending a helping hand! This year we were fortunate enough to again work with our close friends from both Lighthouse Beer & Wine and Cucalorus! With October quickly coming to an end and November rapidly approaching we were privileged to help prepare for 2 large annual events.
The first event took place last weekend, and it was the renown Lighthouse Beer & Wine Beer Festival. This year marked the festival’s 10th year in the making and it went off without a hitch! To prepare for this event we provided our creative services to help brainstorm the theme and create the poster design. You can guarantee more than half the Sage Island staff attended the event and are probably in the festival’s photo gallery celebrating another successful Beer Festival!

Another event we are looking forward to is the upcoming annual film festival, hosted by Cucalorus, which takes place in our own town of Wilmington, NC from November 10-13, 2011. To gear up for this year’s big event we provided our services in the creation of the festival poster, festival post card and trifold, as well as reskinned the website to match this year’s theme. Be sure to take a look at the site’s new look and feel! Start checking out the films that will be featured and if you feel extra generous, give a donation here to help Cucalorus put on the event!

The Fuzzy Peach!
What’s more fun than delicious frozen yogurt and dozens of toppings that range from fresh kiwis to Fruity Pebbles?! Well, not much actually and that is why we are proud and honored to be a part of the young and fun Fuzzy Peach website revamp. We here at Sage Island are huge fans of this booming local business and were thrilled to have the opportunity to build a new website appropriately mimicking the fun feel of the growing company.
In addition to this colorful website that showcases mouth watering products, store photography, a list of their ever changing flavors, and of course a blog section, we also worked with the team on new cup designs (coming soon!) and cleverly witty idioms that we just know their fans will love: “Carpe di Peach” everyone!
The new site was custom designed and built in DotNetNuke with the incorporation of a WordPress blog to keep their many fans in the know. We’re getting hungry just looking at it, so check it out for yourself and go visit one of their four locations in town!
Wilmington Animal Healthcare Launched!
It is with great pleasure that I announce the recent launch of the new Wilmington Animal Healthcare website! Built in our usual content management system (DNN), this site features an editable rotating JavaScript header (featuring our very own Mazie dog and Puff cat), embedded Flickr Gallery, and multiple editable pages the client can manage to keep the site’s content updated and fresh. Overall, the client is pleased with the new look and feel that greatly compliments the vet facility and has already taken the liberty in managing the site and adding new text, pages and pictures.
Physical Therapy for Women Launches NEW Site
Physical Therapy for Women has undergone a simple site makeover! We recently took their old site and rebuilt/updated it within a content management system (DNN). The new site mimics the old site’s navigation and structure, but now has new right pane images, rotating header images, wider design for today’s monitor resolutions and is optimized for the search engines.
Bike Cycles Website Gets an Update!
Bike Cycles was ready to update their website for Spring and came to us with the goal of revamping the overall look and feel. Additionally they wanted to add a blog to the site to increase communication with their customers. We were excited to work with these great clients again to give their site a face-lift. After several photo shoots in their store and design work on unique background images, we redesigned the site to have a brighter, cleaner feel. We incorporated a WordPress blog that matches the website, and they are already sharing news and updates with the cycling community!
Vacation Home Services Site Launch!
I am happy to announce that the new Vacation Home Services website launched yesterday! They are a new vacation property management company that came to Sage Island for a new logo and new website for their business. Their site is built in DNN for easy updates and will feature an integrated online reservation system in the near future.
