WB LiveSurf Website Revamp Launched!

We recently revamped WB LiveSurf’s website to have a fresh new look and some new features for all to enjoy. Some of the many changes accomplished are:

Built in HTML5/CSS3
Removed the login so viewers can now peruse all pages of the site
A new larger 1080 HD view of the Live Cam which is now Iphone, Ipad, Droid and Blackberry compatible
Additional Ad spaces created and managed by Absolute Banner Ad Manager
New weather modules displaying live weather information on every page
Larger view of the daily photos
Tabular view of both WB LiveSurf news and Surfline News

LCF Hospice Freshens Site!

Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center is a great example of a client that takes the initiative to constantly keep their site updated and fresh with new content, new pages and periodically new look and feel. The new site was developed in 2008 and since then we continue to periodically perform work on the site.

Recently, we were contacted to make minor changes to the look and feel of the website to better match their new marketing materials. Their new marketing materials now include a new logo and some ‘tree leaves’ scattered in the background. To help mimic this look, we did just that on the website. They are also really involved in their social media so we additionally added graphics to promote Twitter, Facebook and their recently developed WordPress blog. You can see below how minor cosmetic changes, though simple, are enough to make a difference to the viewer, ensuring the site’s content and look remain fresh and updated.

While making changes throughout the site, we also transformed the previous Foundation section of the website, into its own ‘mini-site’ complete with a unique design skin (background/look) to make it obvious you are jumping into a new section of the site. Now, when clicking on ‘foundation’ in the primary navigation, you still remain within the site’s domain, but are taken to a section of the site with its own look and feel, dynamic left menu. Another fun thing we did to update the site was to utilize Flickr for the photo gallery, allowing the client the ability to add albums (sets) to Flickr and embed these into the site for ease of viewing and management.

SeaDek Launches!

In early 2011 we were tasked with the challenge to rebuild both SeaDek.com & SeaDekStore.com into one seamless, streamlined website. Today I’m pleased to announce we have successfully completed this project and you can view the new and improved site here.

Built in both ASPDotNetStorefront and WordPress, this site is a beast in itself and includes a wide range of functionality:

The Home page features a rotating JavaScript, Embedded YouTube video, Blog Feed, Flickr Feed and a Constant Contact Email Opt-in
The Products section of the site is custom per product category and some product categories include multiple price changing drop down options. Each product contains a Facebook Like and Addthis Share, as well as an overview, installation instructions, features, color options, photos, videos and return policy.
The Photos section of the site includes a Flickr Embedded thumbnail view of photos in the WordPress platform. It brings up a neat lightbox/ajax when clicking to enlarge the thumbnail.
The Videos section of the site utilizes a third party tool allowing us to dynamically feed in videos uploaded to SeaDek’s YouTube channel.
The News section of the site is a WordPress Blog. We imported old posts (3 year’s worth) from client’s old blog (previously Blogger) into WordPress, and skinned this blog to look like the new website.
The site’s storefront is fully manageable and integrates with a UPS account for shipping calculations

We all came together as a team to make this site possible and it was such a joy working with SeaDek! Overall the client is very pleased with the results thus far and has hit the ground running in editing the site and keeping content and product information up to date. The Fuzzy Peach!

What’s more fun than delicious frozen yogurt and dozens of toppings that range from fresh kiwis to Fruity Pebbles?! Well, not much actually and that is why we are proud and honored to be a part of the young and fun Fuzzy Peach website revamp. We here at Sage Island are huge fans of this booming local business and were thrilled to have the opportunity to build a new website appropriately mimicking the fun feel of the growing company.

In addition to this colorful website that showcases mouth watering products, store photography, a list of their ever changing flavors, and of course a blog section, we also worked with the team on new cup designs (coming soon!) and cleverly witty idioms that we just know their fans will love: “Carpe di Peach” everyone!

The new site was custom designed and built in DotNetNuke with the incorporation of a WordPress blog to keep their many fans in the know. We’re getting hungry just looking at it, so check it out for yourself and go visit one of their four locations in town!

Wilmington Animal Healthcare Launched!

It is with great pleasure that I announce the recent launch of the new Wilmington Animal Healthcare website! Built in our usual content management system (DNN), this site features an editable rotating JavaScript header (featuring our very own Mazie dog and Puff cat), embedded Flickr Gallery, and multiple editable pages the client can manage to keep the site’s content updated and fresh. Overall, the client is pleased with the new look and feel that greatly compliments the vet facility and has already taken the liberty in managing the site and adding new text, pages and pictures.

Schoolbags for Kids

After numerous client meetings, calls and planning, we have officially launched Schoolbags for Kids! This is a unique site whose purpose is just as beautiful as the look and feel—for every schoolbag sold, one bag filled with school supplies will be given to a child in need. Currently the site promotes one collection of Schoolbags, the ‘Signature Collection’, however, the store will soon expand promoting various collections and patterns. With a playful design and fun pop-ups, you can navigate through the site to learn more about the mission, history and adorable characters. One of my favorite features of this warm site is the ‘create your own badge’ feature that appears after purchasing a bag. Here you can upload a photo and input personal information to create a bag ID in color of your choice to be printed and placed in the Schoolbag’s ID pouch.

Many talented people came together to make this site possible and it was a great joy and privilege working with so many backgrounds. For starters we worked with their designer by taking their beautiful creations and adjusting them slightly to be built within the ecommerce system ASPDotNetStorefront. We also worked with their fulfillment company by integrating their system and the storefront for order processing. In addition to integrating with the fulfillment company, many other platforms and systems were integrated into this one site—such as Constant Contact (opt-in located in the footer of every page) and Facebook ‘like button’ allowing users to share content with friends on Facebook.

The client is very pleased with the results and happy to announce sales are already taking place and the ‘buzzz’ is already spreading! On July 26th they will be featured on Daily Candy and we will soon begin discussions of building Phase 2 (the beekeepers club).

Wave Transit launches NEW site!

We are excited to present the new and improved look and feel for the Wave Transit website. This website was rebuilt within a content management system (DNN) that provides the ability to add, edit and delete content, images and elements of the website. The new site includes a comprehensive website search tool that will search all text within the website. In addition, we were able to incorporate a translator module on all pages that allows for the easy translation of all website text, content and navigation. Finally, this site features an updated Real Time Bus Tracking tool which is more interactive and uses Google Maps instead of Yahoo. Be sure to check out the new site’s design and unique features!

Bike Cycles Website Gets an Update!

Bike Cycles was ready to update their website for Spring and came to us with the goal of revamping the overall look and feel. Additionally they wanted to add a blog to the site to increase communication with their customers. We were excited to work with these great clients again to give their site a face-lift. After several photo shoots in their store and design work on unique background images, we redesigned the site to have a brighter, cleaner feel. We incorporated a WordPress blog that matches the website, and they are already sharing news and updates with the cycling community!

Vacation Home Services Site Launch!

They are a new vacation property management company that came to Sage Island for a new logo and new website for their business.
