GO! Diabetes Launched!

Congrats to GO! Diabetes on their recent launch. This site started in early May 2010 and rode on the fast track to a successful launch yesterday morning! Featuring a blog, event calendar feed and page, news archive and much more, this site acts as a resource guide to better ‘train the trainer’ when assisting diabetic patients. If you get a chance, be sure to check it out. The clients are really pleased with the results and have been kind enough to pass along the feedback from others, all of which are very positive! This site will continue to receive updates per request of the client, and we are happy to be a part of helping expand and grow GO! Diabetes. In addition to the site, we have also designed an eNewsletter to be sent out periodically. This newsletter mimics the look and feel of the site, offering solid branding for GO! Diabetes.

Google offers free fonts for the Web

There was lots of exciting tech news announced last week during Google I/O. Everyone is talking about Google TV and thanks to my RSS feeds, I was able to stay up to date on news like Google’s purchase of Simplify Media, new apps for the Iphone and Android, and everything in between.  One update in particular that caught our designer’s eye was the release of free fronts by Google. On Wednesday Google  announced the release of 18 high quality open source fonts and a tool that can “smooth over browser issues”  in displaying the fonts. Web designers are pretty excited about the announcement.

“In an attempt to move beyond drab typography on the Web, Google on Wednesday released 18 freely usable fonts and an open-source tool designed to smooth over browser issues in displaying downloaded fonts.

A number of Web designers–if not all readers–are excited that newer browsers support downloadable fonts so sites can use more than the handful that it’s safe to assume are installed already on people’s computers. For every eyeball-searing grunge font and blood-pressure-raising instance of Comic Sans, there’s a tasteful use of an artful logo or distinctive text.

But font licensing rules mean a Web designer can’t necessarily upload any old font for a site. This is where Google’s move, announced at its Google I/O conference, comes in. The company released 18 fonts and also announced an interface that lets Web sites use them.”

Bento Box Launches!

When you get a moment, be sure to check out the new and improved Bento Box website. Completely redesigned and built within WordPress, this site includes classy rotating header images, an attractive interface and some really neat rollovers for the primary navigation. Ben Wright’s Broadway Project Launches!

I am happy to announce yesterday we successfully launched the website for Ben Wright’s Broadway Project. As a former Broadway star, Ben Wright sought out our services to create an online presence for the Broadway Project—a national talent search inviting individuals to audition for an opportunity to perform in a NYC Showcase for Broadway industry professionals. After initial consultation, planning and logo development, we moved forward with the site build within a content management system. While developing the site, the Wright family did an amazing job of social media marketing by creating and updating a Facebook Fan page and spreading the word. After a short month, they already have over 2,000 fans! Not only does this site allow for individuals to participate in auditioning, it also allows for participation in online coaching. Complete with a unique look and layout for each page, the client is pleased with the end result and is looking forward to building the buzz and watching the Ben Wright’s Broadway Project grow!

Coast Host Receives a Face lift!

Long time client Coast Host has recently undergone a website face lift! Over the years we have done small edits to their site while also managing their SEO and PPC. While we have done a great job driving the qualified traffic to the website, Coast Host discussed with us ways to decrease their bounce rate and increase the length of time spent on the website. After reviewing the monthly reports and having a brief consultation, we decided it would be advantageous to redesign the home page to be more visually exciting and updated.

You can view the before and after shots below.

You can see we have incorporated rich graphics, a more modern color palette and callouts to drive viewers to specific pages of the website. Coast Host is active in the social media marketing and email marketing, so we wanted to enhance this. The new design includes a Facebook callout, as well as email sign up and an automatic events pull. Complete with a new logo, new tagline and new look and feel, this site is a complete makeover! Keeping all pages and content the same, no functionality was changed in this alteration—it was strictly a facelift!

Jeff Harbaugh Launches!

Yesterday we launched the new and improved site for Jeff Harbaugh. Jeff’s previous site contained a database in which he stored PDFs of articles and excerpts written by him, however the user functionality of commenting and searching easily was missing. Our solution was to completely redesign and rebuild within WordPress. Jeff’s articles are now categorized and organized within the Public Company Analysis or Market Watch Column. Complete with over 170 posts already, this new site has an edgy, yet clean look to convey the business of action sports. Jeff is overjoyed by the ability to manage this site and has already hit the ground running with keeping the content fresh and updated.
