In early 2011 we were tasked with the challenge to rebuild both SeaDek.com & SeaDekStore.com into one seamless, streamlined website. Today I’m pleased to announce we have successfully completed this project and you can view the new and improved site here.

Built in both ASPDotNetStorefront and WordPress, this site is a beast in itself and includes a wide range of functionality:

• The Home page features a rotating JavaScript, Embedded YouTube video, Blog Feed, Flickr Feed and a Constant Contact Email Opt-in
• The Products section of the site is custom per product category and some product categories include multiple price changing drop down options. Each product contains a Facebook Like and Addthis Share, as well as an overview, installation instructions, features, color options, photos, videos and return policy.
• The Photos section of the site includes a Flickr Embedded thumbnail view of photos in the WordPress platform. It brings up a neat lightbox/ajax when clicking to enlarge the thumbnail.
• The Videos section of the site utilizes a third party tool allowing us to dynamically feed in videos uploaded to SeaDek’s YouTube channel.
• The News section of the site is a WordPress Blog. We imported old posts (3 year’s worth) from client’s old blog (previously Blogger) into WordPress, and skinned this blog to look like the new website.
• The site’s storefront is fully manageable and integrates with a UPS account for shipping calculations

We all came together as a team to make this site possible and it was such a joy working with SeaDek! Overall the client is very pleased with the results thus far and has hit the ground running in editing the site and keeping content and product information up to date. With one of the largest online fan communities, One Tree Hill has grown immensely in popularity over the years and it’s all filmed right outside our office doors! As Wilmingtonians, we have been lucky to see the actors and scenes being filmed around our town for years. Over the past nine seasons they have accumulated thousands of pieces for their sets and wardrobes, which is all being made available to purchase at their much anticipated Wrap Sale.

Sage Island was lucky enough to work  with the great people over at Auction Co. of Wilmington and the team at One Tree Hill for this job. Tasked with designing and building a website that mirrors the One Tree Hill brand and showcases the vast amount of items for sale, we were excited to get to work. The new website is built in WordPress, which integrates perfectly with their Flickr photo albums containing THOUSANDS of photos of the items being auctioned off on December 9-11. With over 5 million fans on Facebook, One Tree Hill supporters are anxiously awaiting the Wrap Sale and we know will be visiting the website for a sneak peak. That being said,the website needed to be able to handle the large amount of traffic, which our hosting department gladly took care of!

We have so enjoyed working with this One Tree Hill project, the perfect send off to the production that has been in our backyard for so many years. We are looking forward to attending the Wardrobe Sale and Auction ourselves!

Bike Cycles was ready to update their website for Spring and came to us with the goal of revamping the overall look and feel. Additionally they wanted to add a blog to the site to increase communication with their customers. We were excited to work with these great clients again to give their site a face-lift. After several photo shoots in their store and design work on unique background images, we redesigned the site to have a brighter, cleaner feel. We incorporated a WordPress blog that matches the website, and they are already sharing news and updates with the cycling community!

We recently launched BoomCo, LLC for our iOS Application Developer, Ricardo. This site (built in a WordPress platform) has a clean, sleek, high-end look and feel—perfectly complimenting its target audience: those with Apple gadgets. This site includes a simple structure and navigation, allowing for ease of use. Additionally it includes a Blog to promote client testimonials (coming soon) that feeds to Ricardo’s Facebook Business page. Finally, perhaps the most fun feature of the site is the neat ‘slide to unlock’ interactive graphic on the home page—go ahead give it a shot…you know you are curious!

Sage Island is happy to announce the recent launches of both the ActionSportsNow website and blog.  ASN is a new, quickly growing business headquartered in Wilmington, NC.  ASN is an online database of shops, retailers, camps, resorts and independent contractors who serve the action sports industry.  Sage Island worked with ASN to develop their new website in DNN; the site features a search for action sport retails by industry segment and location.  The custom programmed search was developed based on the unique features offered by ASN.

The newly launched ActionSportsNow WordPress blog offers an online platform for ASN to stay connected with their customers and provide up-to-date industry and sports related news.  The site feeds news into the website, by sport, to offer the latest news to ASN users, no matter what source they are visiting.

It’s not every day we get to work on such a fun, playful site such as this one—check out Drshannon.org and you will find a site that truly stands out! This lighthearted site, fully developed in the WordPress platform, is a small, informative website promoting Dr. George Shannon as Candidate for President-Elect of the American Academy of Family Physicians. When running for any campaign or election, it’s always tough but important to stand out among your competitors—and we can see from this site Dr. Shannon definitely does that on his mission to tackle “family medicine with an attitude”.

We are excited to let all our Sage fans know that Fells Point Surf Co. has launched! This site, built in ASPDotNetStorefront, allows the client great control in editing content on topic pages, managing products/categories, as well as managing online sales through automatic Credit Card processing. In addition to the cool storefront features such as a wish list, coupon codes and gift cards; this site also features a WordPress blog which automatically feeds their Facebook page, as well as an Email Newsletter sign up, which automatically opts email addresses in their email system Constant Contact.
