How to: Setup SMTP Authentication.
Here at Sage Island we are making some small changes to our e-mail servers to reduce the amount of SPAM that is delivered daily to our customers. In doing this we are trying to offer the best possible service to our e-mail users. As a Sage Island customer you will need to make one change in your mail client to be able to send e-mails through the Sage Island e-mail servers.
Beginning April 1, 2010 we will be requiring "SMTP Authentication" for all outgoing mail. This change can be made in your mail client prior to April 1, 2010 and will not affect your ability to send or receive e-mails. Below you will find detailed instructions on how to make this change to your mail client or contact your Systems Administrator for further assistance. If your mail client is not listed below, please consult your programs documentation on how to add SMTP authentication.
