The Flooring Markets

BACKSTORY

Managed by MME Partners, the Flooring Markets are a series of trade shows specifically designed for manufacturers, distributors, vendors, designers and builders in the flooring industry. Offering a wide selection of the latest products and trends, not to mention demonstrations and other special events, the Flooring Markets bring all of these professionals together in Atlanta, Dallas and Biloxi for two days of networking and buying opportunities.

CHALLENGE

Every event is different, so that meant that in order to keep them under one brand, yet separate them from one another for promotional purposes, the Flooring Markets needed a website that could tie them together while simultaneously giving each its own spotlight. For starters, Sage Island’s team had to assess the original branding and website, then clean up both design and navigation for optimal uses.

SOLUTION

Navigation

The new website now has a main hub for the Flooring Markets brand, then branches off by region to highlight show specific elements such as local attractions, special events or promotions, drawings and giveaways, and more. This way, if attendees already know which show they want to go to, there’s no need to get caught up in a convoluted path while trying to find pertinent details. But, because each region is clearly labeled, the navigation also allows for casual browsing.

Registration Pages

In addition to pages designed just for the regions themselves, our team also included straightforward routes to registration for each of the Flooring Markets trade shows. These can be found at the top of the home page, so anyone who knows which show they want to attend and doesn’t need to review anything else about it can go ahead and secure a spot with ease.

Branding and Design

The main changes that we made to any branding and design elements were to bring them up to date, not necessarily to drastically alter. But even just those smaller adjustments made a huge difference in the overall look and feel of the site. A video header, cleaner graphics and logos, and establishing a clear hierarchy for content all contributed to a professional, informative and engaging new website design.
