Intracoastal Eye Care

Intracoastal Eye is Wilmington’s single source for the highest levels of medical and optical eye care. After many successful years in the Port City, they’re now expanding their services and moving to a new, luxurious location in the Mayfaire Shopping Center. They (rightly) decided that this would be a great time to refresh their digital assets as well, and enlisted Sage Island to help by refreshing their logo and redesigning their website. We were happy to help!

THE CHALLENGE

As Intracoastal Eye was planning to relocate, they thought it would be the perfect time for a refresh and rebrand as well. The previous website was informative and did its job, but as Intracoastal Eye heads in a new direction it was time that their website did as well. Instead of focusing on just the medical side of the practice, they realized they were more interested in transitioning to a complete lifestyle brand that caters to higher-end markets. As they prepare to open their glamorous and upscale retail space, they wanted their website to reflect these qualities that separate them from the typical eye care office.

THE SOLUTION

Sage Island’s goal was to create a website that would promote Intracoastal Eye as a boutique eye care and retail space, staffed by experienced professionals and offering the latest services and technological advancements in their industry. The website also had to be modern and upscale while reflecting Dr. Gregory Johnson’s active coastal lifestyle. We kicked off the process by designing a fun and fresh logo that contained a hint of Dr. Johnson’s love of kite surfing. Once the logo was in place, we used it to guide the look and feel of the site, so all the elements would have the same feeling of luxury, style, and prestige.

The new website’s layout is organized and easy to navigate. At the top of the homepage the most important information is showcased on the menu bar. Here, current and potential clients can read an “About Us” section that includes information about Dr. Johnson, along with background and mission information about the practice and true testimonials from long time patients. There is also information about the medical and optical side of the practice, easy access to the patient portal, and a simple contact form. A new addition to the Intracoastal Eye page is the blog tab where the latest information regarding eye care will be at the tip of any patients’ fingers.

THE RESULTS

Intracoastal Eye’s goal is to serve their patients and make their process as seamless and comfortable as possible. They wanted to stand out in the Wilmington world of eye care by taking their services up a notch and making their appointments feel unique, refined and upscale.
