Sage Island Launches Website for Quintiles Wrightsville Beach Marathon

There are so many reasons to love Wilmington, North Carolina—the weather, the beach, the people. But the culmination of all of those things yields itself the opportunity to be active outdoors, which is why we were so excited to partner with Quintiles Wrightsville Beach Marathon and create a website that embodies all of the things we love about the place we call home.

Held annually in March, Quintiles Wrightsville Beach Marathon is an incredibly popular community event. With the option to take part in the marathon (a Boston Qualifier), marathon relay, half marathon, 5K or 1 mile Fun Run, it’s the type of race that attracts runners and families from all over the country. Without Limits, a local business with awesome apparel, extensive coaching and race directing services, works hard throughout the year to deliver a dynamic, energetic event for all parties involved.

Sage Island updated the website with a fresh look and incorporated an engaging, light design to generate excitement about the race as a beach destination. We streamlined and adjusted content for concise landing pages for each event, and reworked the navigation for easy-to-find information for all runners. We strategically integrated unique and succinct calls to action throughout the website to encourage registration. The website was created in WordPress to give Quintiles Wrightsville Beach Marathon and Without Limits easy access to update any course and race information. We were also pleased to enhance their social presence with custom graphics, keyword rich copy and content that encourages engagement and cultivates the running community.
