Social Media Case Study: Atlanta Bread Company at Mayfaire

Co-owner Jon Bibb sought out the help of Sage Island to develop a fresh perspective of their local Atlanta Bread franchise while incorporating elements of the corporate brand. They wanted their customers to be able to better engage with their business by creating a steady communication stream and easy access to restaurant information such as menu and weekly specials. Their ultimate goal was to create a more loyal customer base, resulting in increased sales and stronger brand awareness.
The Solution: Tactics
Our social media team began by optimizing Atlanta Bread’s Facebook page with custom graphics created by our in-house designers. We incorporated a custom profile photo prominently displaying their new logo and cover photo including unique marketing messaging developed by our branding and identity team. We also wrote a new description, incorporating keywords specifically chosen for SEO, and developed custom tabs that link to Atlanta Bread’s additional social media outlets.
We created an Atlanta Bread Twitter account, also using graphics and a description specifically assembled for this network. The last step of optimization was adjusting the restaurant’s Instagram account to include their updated logo, description and company information.
In order to focus on what’s most important to them, running their restaurant and providing the highest quality service to their customers, Atlanta Bread also opted for Sage Island to manage their social media outlets. Our social team uses a combination of content creation, customer engagement and monitoring to maintain an active social media presence using their specified monthly budget. We cross-promote from network to network to increase number of fans and followers, develop visual content to gain more impressions, use creativity and strategic planning to stimulate engagement, share weekly specials and events, include links to drive website traffic and implement special promotions such as contests and sweepstakes.
An example of an Atlanta Bead promotion we implemented was the Free Cookie campaign. Any user who liked Atlanta Bread’s Facebook page was eligible to claim a coupon for one free cookie by simply entering their email address. Non-fans were prompted to like the page by enabling the fan gate option within Woobox, the platform used to administer the contest.
After just two months of providing social media services, Atlanta Bread has seen a 347% increase in Facebook page views and a 160% increase in impressions. They continue to grow in number of fans and followers, and engagement (likes, comments and shares) among fans remains steady.
