Microsoft Outlook 2010

1.) Click the Windows Logo (formally the Start button) in the bottom left corner of your screen and then click “Microsoft Outlook 2010.”

2.) Once Microsoft Outlook 2010 opens, across the top toolbar click “File”. A drop down menu will appear and by default “Info” is highlighted. Click the “Account Settings” then “Account Settings” from the drop down.

3.) Once the “Account Settings” window appears, highlight the account you wish to modify and then click the “Change…” button.

4.) A new window will appear titled “Change E-mail Account.” On the right side of this window near the bottom click “More Settings …”

5.) This will bring up the final window where you will make the change necessary to send e-mail through Sage Island servers. The new window is called “Internet E-mail Settings.” Across the top tabs click “Outgoing Server.” Place a check mark in the box beside “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” then place a bullet beside the next option, “Use same settings as my incoming mail server.”

6.) Once these changes are made click “Ok”. This will take you back to the previous window named “Change E-mail Account”, click “Next” and finally “Finish.”

7.) Congratulations. All the steps required to setup SMTP Authentication for Outgoing Mail have been completed.
