WB Surf Camp’s 2nd Annual Aloha for Alopecia & Cancer Survivors

by Mel Beasley

Sage Island is thrilled to have the opportunity to be a sponsor again this year for the 2nd Annual Aloha for Alopecia and Cancer Survivors Charity Surf Camp! Organized by one of our clients, WB Surf Camp, the camp will take place this Saturday, August 11 at Wrightsville Beach. The surf camp will honor the families and individuals that are living with Alopecia and hair loss. Affecting over five million people in the United States, Alopecia is an autoimmune condition that results in hair loss on the scalp and throughout the body.

The 2nd Annual Aloha for Alopecia and Cancer Survivors Charity Surf Camp is completely free and will offer a day of fun in the sun and the waves with a surf clinic, games, food and fellowship. The event will also be welcoming special guest Kayla Martel this year. Kayla was 2010 Miss Delaware and has faced the challenges of the auto-immune condition since she was 10 and aims to inspire and build confidence in other women experiencing the same day-to-day challenges.
