Wrightville Beach named one of World's Best Surf Towns by National Geographic

by Vicki Vasil

We were excited to hear that Wrightsville Beach, Sage Island’s gem of a hometown, was named one of the world’s top 20 surf towns by National Geographic! In choosing the spots, only seven of which were named in the US, the factors in consideration were the “magical sum of consistent waves, inviting accommodations, friendly locals, fun nightlife, delicious food and plenty of activities should the ocean go flat.” Several WB local business owners, all of them Sage Island clients, were featured in the article, including Surf City Surf Shop, WB Surf Camp, Gold Leader Fishing and AUI Charters.

Take a look at the article published on National Geographic’s website this week to read more and see the company Wrightsville Beach is in!
