THE CHALLENGE
The first step in redesigning a Fiore Fine Flowers website was establishing a concept that reflected their skill, passion, and style. The team at Fiore Fine Flowers believes that quality, talent, and fantastic customer service are the critical elements of their award-winning floral designs.
The Sage Island team wanted to ensure the website truly showcased this and the expertise behind the Fiore name and was efficient and user friendly.
THE SOLUTION
Stunning graphics and video.
Images are crucial to selling a visual product like floral bouquets and centerpieces, so we needed to create website features that prominently displayed imagery and make sure those images were captivating enough to sell the products through the screen.
Our design team took stock of hundreds of photographs provided by the client and proceeded to make them look as luxurious as possible. We used retouching techniques to emphasize the colors and textures of velvety roses, organic greenery, and vibrant colors without compromising the integrity of the products themselves. We chose a few of these to be hero images that we displayed prominently on the homepage to draw in users and invite them to peruse the many offerings featured on the site.
The rest of the images are now featured in photo galleries categorized by the types of florals and other products offered at Fiore. The shopping gallery allows users to click through to see detailed landing pages for individual products. Below each landing page, the gallery automatically pulls in related products so users can browse selections and find exactly what they’re looking for at one time. The wedding and events gallery is a stunning portfolio of Fiore’s impressive work. These galleries are organized by the vents style such as “courtyards & Cobblestones, and Winter Wonderland.” This lets potential clients easily find their style and showcases what Fiore can do for them at their event.
A branded design.
To create a branded online presence for our client, our team ensured that every aspect of the Fiore website design reflected brand standards. We chose fonts and colors that mimicked the new logo we created and incorporated details like background textures and ornaments that alluded to the intricate floral design process.
Our revamped design also included ample and white space to bring focus to the colorful product photographs and clear call-to-action buttons.
Improved functionality.
We implement many new function designs into Fiore’s website to make life easier for them, and of course, their clients. Some of the things include:
- A custom eCommerce element that gave them features such as gift messaging, local flower delivery, and date selection. It also allowed us to showcase their inventory with a clean and organized structure. Users can now navigate through the shop smoothly.
- A fun and creative event planner form allows the Fiore team to be well equipped to plan the big day.
- Sitemap organization that concisely laid out the abundant content on the site. We organized the sitemap to allow users to locate relevant information quickly. We added CTA buttons on the homepage that now point to custom landing pages for easy navigation and searchability.
